Search and discovery

There are two ways to find your way around a world: browsing and searching in the portal, and asking a connected AI tool for richer, meaning-based discovery.

  • Browse by entity type. From a world’s dashboard, pick a type (Person, Place, …) to see all entities of that kind.
  • Search entities by name. The entity list has a search box that filters as you type — the quickest way to jump to a specific entity.
  • Search and filter relationships. On an entity’s page, filter its connections by relationship type or related entity name to make sense of a densely linked entity.

The portal’s search matches names. For discovery by meaning — across lore as well as names — use a connected AI tool. Because your lore is indexed semantically, an agent can answer questions that no keyword search could:

Which places in this world are described as near water or outdoors,
even if they aren't tagged that way?
Find people whose lore suggests a close friendship, and show how they're connected.

This is also how you surface gaps and inconsistencies — unlinked entities, entities with no lore, or timeline conflicts. See How AI integration works for more example prompts.
