Create your account

Your Orbismo account is separate from any individual world — you sign in once, then create or join as many worlds as you like. Here’s the path from sign-up to your first world.

On the sign-up screen, pick whichever method you prefer:

  • Email and password
  • Magic link — sign in with a one-time link sent to your inbox
  • Passkey — your device’s biometrics or a hardware key
  • Google, Discord, or GitHub — use an account you already have

You can add more methods to the same account later, so the choice isn’t permanent. For details on each option, see Sign-in methods.

If you signed up with email and password, we’ll send a verification link. Click it to confirm your address — you’ll need to verify before you can use the account. (Signing up with a passkey or an OAuth provider verifies you automatically.)

The first time you sign in, you’ll confirm your display name. This is the name your collaborators see on a shared world, so pick something they’ll recognize.

You’ll be asked to agree to the terms of service before continuing. This is a one-time step.

With that done, you arrive at the onboarding screen, where you can:

Once you’re in, you can add two-factor authentication (TOTP) for an extra layer of protection, along with backup codes in case you lose your authenticator. You can also review where you’re signed in from. See Sign-in methods and Sessions and devices.
